This historic hotel was a gem! The old-world charm and quirky eccentricity really set it apart from other modern hotels. The antique spa facilities, including the steam room and sauna heated by a wood-burning stove, were a unique experience. The friendly staff made me feel right at home and the breakfast was excellent. The location was also perfect, situated right in the heart of the city and within walking distance to great restaurants and shops.
The age of the building. While it added to the charm, it was clear that the building was fighting against modern use. Some of the wooden floors creaked and the paint was faded in places. However, this didn't detract too much from the overall experience and for those who appreciate history, it may even add to the allure of the hotel.

A short walk to restaurante bom sabor, where you can have lunch. We greatly enjoyed Palace Hotel De Caxambu so we would definitely go again. A decent base for exploring Caxambu. The parking was on-site and convenient...
Nothing for me.

The hotel location was perfect for my business trip. the building has beautiful, historic architecture with quirky and unique features that give it a lot of character. the facilities available to guests were great, especially the antique spa amenities. the staff were all friendly and provided excellent service. the beds were very comfortable and made for a great night's sleep.
The only downside I can think of is that the building does show its age and wear in some areas, but this also adds to its charm. Some people may not appreciate the creaky wooden floors or faded paint, but I didn't mind.

Located in a charming historic building, this hotel provides a one, of, a, kind stay. the original features add character and make for a unique experience. the staff is friendly and welcoming, ensuring guests feel at home. Breakfast is a treat with a great variety of choices. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and well, equipped bathrooms. the antique spa facilities, such as the sauna and steam room, are well maintained and functional. the pool with a wood, burning stove creates a cozy atmosphere.
Although the hotel has preserved its old, world charm, some elements of the building might be in need of renovation. this hardly detracts from the overall enjoyment of the stay.
